Product Description

Master Bond Supreme 121AOMed is a thermally conductive, electrically insulating, medical grade epoxy for bonding, sealing and encapsulation. The mix ratio is 100:80 by weight. This system has a very long open time of 2 to 4 days and after mixing, it flows readily. Supreme 121AOMed requires oven curing. A typical cure schedule would be 1-2 hours at 200-210°F followed by 3-4 hours at 250°F and then 4-6 hours at 300°F. Additional post curing at 350°F for 2-4 hours will further enhance product properties. Supreme 121AOMed combines a high glass transition temperature along with an element of toughness, making it a little less rigid than typical higher temperature resistant epoxies.

Supreme 121AOMed bonds to a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, glass, and many rubbers and plastics. It adheres especially well to glass, fibers and ceramics. It combines an impressive physical strength profile along with the ability to withstand severe thermal cycling and mechanical stresses. This system is formulated for the assembly of reusable medical devices, which will be repeatedly sterilized by radiation, chemicals, and most importantly, steam autoclaving. Additionally, it is a good heat conductor while retaining excellent insulation properties.

The color of Part A is black and Part B is dark brown. Its service temperature range is -80°F to +550°F. It should be noted that Supreme 121AOMed is well suited for potting and encapsulation applications, as well as for bonding, where the medical device will be subject to intense and demanding sterilization methods.

Product Advantages

  • Good flow and long working life
  • Thermally conductive, electrically insulative
