Product Description

Master Bond Steelmaster 43HT is a high performance, stainless steel filled two component epoxy resin system for the cost effective repair, maintenance, rebuilding, restoring and resealing of worn or damaged metallic components. It features a 100 to 20 mix ratio by weight. It is a faster setting system which will cure readily in about 24-48 hours at room temperature. This can be accelerated by adding heat. It is easily mixed and applied with minimal sagging. Steelmaster 43HT has excellent physical strength properties along with superior dimensional stability. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, especially metals, as well as to non-metallic substrates including ceramics, composites and many plastics. Upon curing, this epoxy can withstand thermal cycling and many chemicals, including water, oils, fuels and cleaning agents. Although it is stainless steel filled, it is an electrical insulator. It should be noted that Steelmaster 43HT can also be used as an adhesive, particularly for bonding metals such as carbide to steel. Also noteworthy is its high compressive strength. Part A is gray, the color of Part B is light tan and upon mixing, the color is metallic gray. The service temperature range is -60°F to +400°F. Steelmaster 43HT is typically used in OEM applications involving machining, tooling and metalworking, among others.
