Epoxies that meet FDA CFR 175.105 are designed for indirect and incidental use in food processing equipment. To comply with this specification, every chemical in the formulation must be included on the FDA’s list of approved ingredients, ensuring safety and regulatory alignment.

Epoxies meeting FDA CFR 175.300 represent a higher standard for food grade adhesives than FDA CFR 175.105. They must pass rigorous testing, including extractables limited to less than 0.5 mg/in² after exposure to solvents and elevated temperatures, as well as toxicological evaluations of the cured specimen.
