Product Description

MasterSil 709 is an easy to use, one component, high performance silicone elastomer compound for bonding, sealing, coating and formed in place gaskets. This unique product meets the MIL-A-46146 Type 2 specification. It is noncorrosive, fast setting and flowable. It can be widely used for many applications, particularly in aerospace and electronics. MasterSil 709 bonds well to a wide variety of substrates. The rapidity of the cure depends on the thickness of the layer and the humidity; the thicker the layer the slower the cure. MasterSil 709 is serviceable over the broad temperature range of -75°F to +400°F. MasterSil 709 has a moderate viscosity with good flow properties that can also be used as a conformal coating for electronics. Its color is translucent.
