Product Description

Master Bond EP21LSCL-2 is a two component, low viscosity epoxy resin system featuring superb optical clarity. This system has a forgiving mix ratio of 100 to 20 by weight. The recommended cure schedule is overnight at room temperature followed by 3-5 hours at 140-175°F. It has exceptionally low exotherm and a long working life of 6 to 8 hours for a 100 gram mass. This compound is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents.

EP21LSCL-2 bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, glass, composites, ceramics as well as many rubber and plastic materials. It is a superb electrical insulator. This, along with its low exotherm, permits it to be effective in larger potting and encapsulation applications. This system’s most outstanding feature is its non yellowing properties when compared to other optically clear epoxies. Also noteworthy is its high glass transition temperature, physical strength profile, and low shrinkage upon curing. It has good resistance to water, oils, fuels and outdoor elements. The service temperature range is from -60°F to +350°F. EP21LSCL-2 is an attractive option when a non-yellowing epoxy with good physical strength properties and temperature resistance is desirable.

Product Advantages

  • Low viscosity; easy to apply or pour
  • Low shrinkage upon curing
  • Long open time
  • Highly desirable non-yellowing profile
