EP42-2LV Two Part Epoxy
Product Description

Master Bond EP42-2LV is a room temperature curable, two component epoxy for bonding, sealing, coating and casting featuring very good chemical and temperature resistance. This lower viscosity system has an easy to use 100 to 40 mix ratio by weight or 100 to 50 by volume. It has a relatively long working life as well as lower exotherm. EP42-2LV is suitable for larger potting and encapsulation applications. As mentioned previously, it cures at ambient or elevated temperatures, with the optimum being overnight at room temperature followed by 2-4 hours at 150-200°F.

EP42-2LV bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, such as metals, composites, ceramics, glass and many rubbers and plastics. Its forte is its resistance to a wide variety of acids, bases, solvents, fuels, oils and salts. It also has excellent electrical insulation properties. Its service temperature range is from -60°F to +350°F. The color of Part A is clear and Part B is light amber. Upon mixing, EP42-2LV has good optical clarity and light transmission properties, particularly in thinner sections. This versatile system is a viable candidate for applications in the aerospace, electronic, optical and specialty OEM industries, among others.
