Product Description

MasterSil 801 is a ready to use, one component, high performance silicone elastomer compound for bonding, sealing, coating and formed-in-place-gaskets. Its most important property is its high temperature resistance with serviceability up to +572°F. While curing, it is non-corrosive to electronics. MasterSil 801 is a paste that has no flow. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including silicone rubber.

As a one part silicone, its rate of cure depends upon the level of humidity and the thickness of the layer. The higher the humidity the faster the cure and thinner sections cure more rapidly than thicker ones. MasterSil 801 is a faster setting RTV, with a tack free time in the order of about ten minutes. Also, its color is black. It is primarily used in applications where an RTV silicone needs to operate from -75°C up to +300°C. The +300°C temperature rating is unique to MasterSil 801 and MasterSil 800.
