Product Description

Master Bond EP76M is a two component, nickel filled, electrically conductive epoxy system for high performance bonding, sealing and coating. EP76M is easy to use. It has a paste like consistency with a viscosity exceeding 500,000 cps (thixotropic) for Part A and greater than 900,000 cps (thixotropic) for Part B. The mix ratio is a forgiving one to one by weight or volume and It has an exceptionally long working life of over 120 minutes. It will cure readily at ambient temperatures in 3-5 days or at 200°F in 2-3 hours. The optimum cure schedule is overnight at ambient temperature followed by 3-4 hours at 150°F.

EP76M is particularly noteworthy for its strength profile. Normally, there is a noticeable diminution of bond strength when epoxies are formulated to be electrically conductive. However EP76M, when fully cured, has a lap shear strength of over 2,000 psi. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, glass, ceramics, composites, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics. Furthermore, EP76M has high compressive strength, superb dimensional stability and has low shrinkage upon cure. Some other desirable attributes are good chemical resistance including to water, oils and cleaning agents. The service temperature range is -60°F to +250°F. Parts A and B are both gray in color. Master Bond EP76M is particularly useful in aerospace, electronic, electrical and other industries where nickel conductivity is desirable from a functional and cost perspective. It is especially useful in applications requiring shielding and static dissipation.
