Product Description

Master Bond Supreme 45HTQ is a two component, toughened, quartz filled epoxy for high performance bonding, sealing and casting. Its mix ratio is a forgiving 100 to 30 by weight and the working life after mixing is 12-24 hours. It is a moderate viscosity system. The system requires oven curing with several options. The first is 4 to 6 hours at 250°F, whereas another is 4 to 5 hours at 350°F. The optimal cure schedule is 300°F for 2 hours, followed by post curing at 350°F for 4 to 6 hours. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents.

First and foremost, Supreme 45HTQ has excellent resistance to acids, bases and solvents. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, ceramics and many different plastics. After curing, it has a number of desirable physical strength properties including high modulus and exceptional compressive strength. It is a toughened system that can withstand rigorous thermal cycling. An important part of this formulation is its quartz filler. This lends to its increased dimensional stability and greater abrasion resistance. Supreme 45HTQ is a reliable electrical insulator. The service temperature range is from -60°F to +450°F. The color of Part A is tan and Part B is brown. When these properties are combined, it allows Supreme 45HTQ to be used as a “go to” epoxy for downhole applications as well as other situations where the properties mentioned previously are required.
