Product Description

Master Bond UV10 is a one part UV curable system for bonding, sealing and coating. It has superb optical clarity, excellent physical properties as well as very low viscosity. UV10 generally cures readily in 20-30 seconds, when exposed to a UV light source emitting at a wavelength of 320-365 nm with an energy output as low as 20-40 milliwatts/cm². The rate of cure depends upon the compound’s distance from the light source, the thickness of the section and of course the intensity of the light source. UV10 can cure in sections up to 0.025 inches. However, when bonding, sections of a few thousandths of an inch are more than adequate.

Upon curing with very low shrinkage, UV10 cures with good rigidity and physical strength properties. UV10 bonds well to glass, surface treated metals and most importantly, plastics such as polycarbonates and acrylics, among others (provided they have no UV blocking agent as an additive). UV10 has good resistance to many chemicals including water, oils, fuels as well as many bases and salts. It is an effective electrical insulator as well. It service temperature range extends from -60°F to +250°F. UV10 should be considered for aerospace, opto-electronic, electronic and specialty OEM applications, where a low viscosity, high strength, UV activated system would be advantageous.
