Product Description

Master Bond EP101HTX-3 is a one component very low viscosity epoxy for high performance impregnation, bonding, sealing and coating. It has unlimited working life at room temperature but it requires elevated temperature curing at 250-300°F. There are two alternative curing schedules. The first is 250°F for 3 to 5 hours followed by an additional 4 to 6 hours at 300°F. The alternative and optimal cure schedule is 6 to 8 hours at 300°F followed by 2 to 3 hours at 350°F.

EP101HTX-3 has excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, glass and many plastics. It withstands contentious thermal cycling as well as thermal and mechanical shocks. Its forte is robust electrical insulation properties even at elevated temperatures. Additionally, it has superb optical clarity and light transmission properties. Since this is epoxy based,

its chemcial resistance is quite good and it withstands oils, fuels, and water. The service temperature range extends from -60°F to +500°F. EP101HTX-3 stands out especially for its combination of ultra low viscosity and high temperature resistance. This makes it an attractive candidate for specialty aerospace, opto-electronic and optical applications.
