Product Description

MasterSil 800 is a ready to use, one component, high performance silicone elastomer compound for bonding, sealing, coating and formed-in-place-gaskets. Its forte is high temperature resistance with serviceability up to +572°F. While curing, it is non-corrosive to electronics. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including silicone rubber.

The rate of cure depends upon the level of humidity and the thickness of the layer. The higher the humidity the faster the cure and thinner sections cure more rapidly than thicker ones. MasterSil 800 has a relatively fast tack free time, as noted below. Its color is black. It is primarily used in applications where an RTV silicone needs to operate from -75°C up to +300°C. The +300°C temperature rating is unique to MasterSil 800 and MasterSil 801.
