Product Description

Master Bond EP62-1HTMed is a two component epoxy system with a long working life at ambient temperature. The mix ratio is a forgiving 100 to 5 by weight. Upon mixing, it is a moderate viscosity system that flows well. The working life of 100 grams is 12-24 hours at room temperature. The cure schedule options are as follows, 60-70 minutes at 176-212°F [80-100°C] or 20-30 minutes at 257°F [125°C]. To obtain optimum properties, post curing at 212-302°F [100-150°C] for 3-5 hours is recommended. The epoxy contains no solvents or diluents and has low shrinkage upon cure.

The system bonds well to a wide variety of substrates such as metals, plastics, rubbers, ceramics and composites. Upon curing with the optimum schedule, EP62-1HTMed excels in combining high temperature resistance along with the ability to withstand repeated sterilization and many aggressive chemicals. It has a high glass transition temperature. EP62-1HTMed is a dependable electrical insulating material. The service temperature range is -60°F to +450°F. The color of Part A is black and Part B is dark brown. It is especially well suited for applications where harsh sterilants are being employed.
