Product Description

Master Bond MasterSil 153AOMed is a two component, medical grade, thermally conductive silicone for high performance bonding and sealing. It has a forgiving 1 to 1 mix ratio by weight, with a paste consistency and minimal flow while curing. It generates very little heat after mixing which results in an exceptionally long working life. MasterSil 153AOMed cures at ambient temperature or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. The optimum cure is overnight at room temperature followed by 2-4 hours at 135°F to 185°F. It contains no solvents or diluents and has very low shrinkage upon curing.

This silicone adhesive bonds well to a wide variety of substrates such as metals, glass, ceramics and many plastics. It even bonds very well to silicone rubber. Other outstanding features include high temperature resistance along with silicone flexibility, conferring the ability to withstand thermal cycling and shock. MasterSil 153AOMed conducts heat, but is an electrical insulator. It is an addition cured system and does not require exposure to air for complete cross-linking. The system resists EtO, gamma, radiation, glutaraldehyde and other liquid steriliants.

The color of both Parts A and B is white. It has a service temperature range spanning between -65°F to +400°F. MasterSil 153AOMed should be considered for medical applications where heat conduction with electrical insulation, thermal cycling, and a flexible adhesive creating little stress between substrates is necessary.
