Supreme 46HTQ Two Component Epoxy
Product Description

Master Bond Supreme 46HTQ is a two component, toughened, quartz filled epoxy for high performance bonding, sealing and casting. This moderate viscosity system is formulated to cure at elevated temperatures. Its mix ratio is a forgiving 100:30 by weight. The working life is exceptionally long; 12 to 24 hours. The cure schedule options include 4-6 hours at 250°F and 3-4 hours at 300°F. To obtain optimum properties, curing at 300°F for 3-4 hours followed by post curing at 350°F for 2-3 hours is recommended. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents.

Supreme 46HTQ bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, ceramics and many different plastics. Upon curing, it has an attractive array of physical strength properties such as high modulus and high compressive strength. The quartz filler gives the system enhanced abrasion resistance. This epoxy system has a toughening agent that allows it to withstand intense thermal cycling. It is also a good electrical insulator. When these properties are combined, Supreme 46HTQ can be used effectively as a potting material or adhesive-sealant. The service temperature range is from -60°F to +450°F. The color of Part A is tan and Part B is tan to brown.

Perhaps its most significant product property is its chemical resistance, particularly to entities encountered downhole. While the primary applications for Supreme 46HTQ are in the oil and gas processing industries, it can be used in other applications where these properties are desirable.

Product Advantages

  • Can be used for bonding, sealing and potting
  • Very long open time
  • Withstands chemicals, especially those found in oil and gas processing
  • High temperature resistant profile compatible with downhole processing
  • Resistant to abrasive elements
  • Noteworthy compressive strength
